Kids Try Store-Bought vs Homemade Pasta

So have you ever carved open a pumpkin and then

on the inside you have like the smell of pumpkin?

It's like that smell but slightly rotten

converted into a taste.

[dramatic music]

I'll start with this one.

This one looks like it's store bought.

You know that like mac and cheese

that comes in those little bowls,

like, like, yeah, it looks like that.

This one looks really really cheesy

but not that cheesy, cheesy cheesy, cheesy.

I can already tell this one has bacon in it, I think.

[Man] What does that tell you?

That it's homemade.

I'm taking a bite of B.

There's like clumps of cheese and it kind of melts

in your mouth once your saliva touches it.

[upbeat music]

Okay now you're confusing me, 'cause now

I think this one's homemade.

A tastes more cheesy but more raw.

[upbeat music]

Not my favorite.

I think C is homemade.

I think that C is homemade.

[dramatic music]

Wait, it just says C.

[Man] Nope.

Gonna see this one.

I was right before.

This is like the classic store bought pasta

and they always exaggerate the yellowness in it.

The second one's a lot bigger,

also the red sauce and it has like also ridges.

This one looks more pale and

it's in more shape of a circle.

Floppy, wow.

[upbeat music]

Wow, that was really good, I think that was my favorite.

[upbeat music]

This one has something different in it,

to me it tastes like stuffing.

[Man] Like turkey stuffing?

[upbeat music]

The texture was like the same kind of texture

that you'd expect from a store bought ravioli.

I think that A is homemade.

I think that B is homemade.

[dramatic music]

Yes, I was right!

I know that one's normal because I ate the whole thing.

Wow, oh, oh Spaghetti O, I get it, I get it, okay.

Okay so kind of just by looking at it,

I can kind of make an inference

that C is the homemade pasta.

B looks like the same texture as like

a store bought Spaghettios with like the soupiness.

This one is soup, like this is soup, totally soup.

And the rings are pretty small and thin.

There's like different shapes and sizes,

there's like the really really tiny one

and there's like the bigger one.

[Man] Which one do you wanna take a bite of first?

C.

[upbeat music]

Definitely homemade, definitely.

Okay.

Yeah I think A is also store bought.

Yeah I think this one's homemade.

[Man] You sure about that?

Yes.

Yes, it was homemade, I was right, I knew it.

Ugh poor store, ugh poor people.

I knew it, it smelled exactly like my mother's lasagna.

I don't think that's a good think though.

My grandma makes lasagna and she makes it homemade

and this is just how it looks like.

[Man] Does your grandma make good lasagna?

Yeah, really good.

I feel like this one is super hard,

looks crunchy and stuff like a cookie.

Oh my gosh, it looks like it has spinach in it.

I don't think this is even edible.

Okay this one tastes really good, I'm not kidding,

'cause look, has cheese, red sauce, those are the both

favorite things that I like in my pasta.

Okay it just tastes natural

and like fresh and like lasagna.

[upbeat music]

Tastes like an unedible slime.

Don't question it.

So first I thought that A was the homemade lasagna

but now I'm changing my guess to B.

I think B is homemade.

[dramatic music]

Store bought, what?

These cards must be mixed around,

'cause like this, this is the only edible one.

But with stripes this time.

This one looks really like it doesn't have that much

sauce on it, this one doesn't look edible,

it looks like rubber.

Kind of looks cheesy, it's cheesy.

I can kinda taste the cheese inside

and I kinda see the red peppers and stuff.

The cheese is hard, doesn't taste very good.

I think just because A has a little bit of cheese,

it is not...

store bought.

I think A is homemade.
