Timmy's Brandy Milk Punch

My friend Timmy Reily makes the best version of this classic New Orleans drink. He likes to use the finest brandy, but once you've added all the other ingredients the brandy doesn't matter so much. You may need to add a bit more sugar, so taste a little and sweeten as you go.

Ingredients

1 cup brandy
3 cups milk
3 tablespoons powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 gratings fresh nutmeg
Handful of ice cubes
Crushed ice in 4 glasses

Preparation

  1. Step 1

    1. Put the brandy, milk, sugar, vanilla, nutmeg, and ice cubes into a blender and blend for 20 seconds.

    Step 2

    2. Strain into glasses of crushed ice and serve.
