Grilled Scallions with Hot Sauce and Sesame Seeds

This is also delicious with pretty spring onions; increase cooking time to 6 or 8 minutes.

Ingredients
8 scallions, trimmed, halved lengthwise
1 tablespoon olive oil
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
Hot sauce and toasted sesame seeds (for serving)
Preparation
Step 1
Prepare a grill for medium-high heat. Toss scallions with oil on a rimmed baking sheet; season with salt and pepper.
Step 2
Grill scallions on a grill topper, turning once, until well charred and tender at the thickest part, about 1 minute per side. Transfer to a platter; drizzle with hot sauce and top with toasted sesame seeds.
