Emma Laperruque

Associate Director, Cooking

Emma leads cooking coverage across Bon Appétit and Epicurious, focusing on service-forward content for home cooks. Depending on the hour, you might find her editing an article, wading through a sea of cookbooks, attending a test kitchen tasting, collaborating on the Epicurious app (which, by the way, has over 50,000 expert-tested recipes), or reviewing the daily newsletter. Before joining the Condé Nast team, Emma was the food editor at Food52, where she led the site’s recipe program and created an award-winning column called Big Little Recipes. In 2021, she turned Big Little Recipes into her debut cookbook, published by Ten Speed Press and named one of the best of the year by The Washington Post. She has also worked as a line cook, nocturnal baker, and freelance journalist. Emma lives in the Taylor-ham-half of New Jersey with her husband and their cat, Butter.
