Store infused booze in a cool, dark place to slow oxidation, kinda like aging your own wine!

Recipe information

  • Yield

    Makes about 3¼ cups

Ingredients

1 pound ripe fruit (such as apricots, blackberries, cherries, currants, peaches, plums, raspberries, or strawberries)
1 750 ml bottle vodka or other clear, flavorless spirit
1 cup sugar

Preparation

  1. Step 1

Combine fruit, vodka, and sugar in a large jar or crock. Cover and chill. Continue to add fruit throughout the season along with 1 cup sugar for each pound of fruit you add and enough vodka to keep everything submerged.
