The jury's still out if SodaStream machines are a trend or a soon-to-be-classic kitchen tool, but no matter: they're on sale right now, and that's what counts. Bed Bath & Beyond has lowered the price on the SodaStream Fizzi starter kit to $63.99, a 20% discount from its original price of $79.99. It's not the craziest sale, but it's still enticing, especially if you're curious about all the SodaStream machine talk and want to try a basic version out.
The SodaStream Fizzi starter kit is more manageable than the more complex and expensive models, like the Power Sparkling Water Maker, which typically goes for $129.99 to $149.99. The Fizzi starter kit comes with a 1-liter reusable bottle and 60-liter carbonator; all you need to do to make sparkling water is fill the bottle with water, insert it into the machine, and press a button that'll create the CO2 bubbles. The Fizzi is lighter and easier to store than the Power Maker too, which is especially nice if you have a small kitchen or limited counter space.
Bonus: Buying a SodaStream is exponentially better for the environment than buying all those 99-cent plastic bottles of seltzer at the grocery store, so it's not a bad purchase to try out.
