Rick Ellis is a food stylist, writer, and culinary historian. Ellis studied architecture at the University of Virginia and graphic design at the School of Visual Arts in NYC. Of his well-regarded collection of first-edition cookbooks, which spans more than 5000 volumes, author Jessica B. Harris has said “there is no private collection of Southern cookbooks in the world that has the breadth and depth and importance of Rick’s.” He has styled food for major corporations and magazines, such as Gourmet magazine, Dunkin’ Donuts, Popeye's, and on the big screen for the Scorcese film The Age of Innocence.
