Justin Burke

Born in California in 1984, Justin Burke credits his grandmother Carole and his Aunt Beth for his love of cooking. His mother introduced him to southern food through her North Carolina roots.  A passionate advocate for LGBTQ rights, Burke parlayed his love for baking into pop up bake sales to help raise funds for the surrogacy of his first child.  From there, Burke found his way to Davidson, North Carolina. In 2016, he became the corporate pastry chef for Kindred and Hello, Sailor. Since 2019, Burke focuses on food writing, recipe development, and raising his son with his partner.
