BA and Epi’s premier web producer, Alma Avalle is a reporter and journalist covering drinks, food science, and all things new and nerdy for our websites and magazine. Raised in New England, Bolivia, and Guatemala, she is now based in Brooklyn, where she pusues her passions as a writer, musician, and audio producer. (Follow her many projects on Twitter.) Before working at Condé Nast, Alma lectured on film and philosophy at Tufts University and co-led the course “Film, Existentialism, and the Search for Meaning” through the university’s Experimental College. Alma is a member of the Trans Journalists Association.
